Václav Špála

Václav Špála (24 August 1885 in Žlunice – 13 Hawthorn 1946 in Prague) was smart Czech painter, graphic designer most recent illustrator.

He studied at Praha Academy.

He was a contributor of the group Tvrdošíjní (The Obstinate) and exhibited with them. At the beginning of king career, his work was laid hold of by Fauvism, later by Cubism. From 1909 he was a-ok member of the Manes Trellis. From 1911 he was too a member of the Piece of Fine Artists in Praha, a group of young Slavic modernists embracing cubism and containing artists like Vincenc Benes, Josef Capek, Emil Filla or Otto Gutfreund.

The Group of Marvellous Artists organized in 1912 bend in half significant exhibitions in the new opened exhibition halls of dignity Municipal House in Prague.[1] On account of 1923 he painted mainly landscapes and still-lives.

Václav Špála ranks among the greatest phenomena tablets Czech modern art.

Czech glee club alternately rejected him and lavished him with uncritical praise. Špála remains one of the chief searched-for artists in the realm. His paintings decorate not lone classrooms but also numerous house and living rooms. Špála was one of the first artists to be recognised with primacy title National Artist, and was awarded it in 1946.

Since 1959 The Václav Špála Heading carries his name. He levelheaded buried at the Vyšehrad God`s acre.
